This page is dedicated to the presentation of materials put together to present a series of recreations and discoveries relating to the Nomadic City by way of Experimental Archeology. The objects accumulated for this show specifically showcase some of the cultural developments of the Hoy Miradella.
We, as the The Infranational Society of Research of the Nomadic City and its People (hereafter referred to as the ISoRotNCaiP), seek to expand the world's knowledge and understanding of the great Nomadic City. Through the unearthing of historic and ahistoric artifacts, writings and interpretations, our mission is to bring an awareness to the cultural and artistic practices of the NP, which have been notoriously neglected by traditional modes of research.
Through collaboration with heteronymic personnel, we are able to source primary and secondary material across times, spaces, and qualities of truth; exhuming mistranslations and quantum uncertainties. The acceptances of parafictitious (or parafactual) information allows for discoveries of culture through misreadings and misunderstanding, creating a culture that both did and did not exist, but nonetheless one that truly comes to exist and comes to have existed through our work.
As an organization of research and thought, the members of the ISoRotNCaiP take on the material and metaphysical experiences of the Nomadic People through our hybrid experimental archeological and artistic practices. We both come to understand and experience, create and recreate, the world of the Nomadic City through the reenactment of their practices and the inhabiting of their mindset. Not being content at understanding them through the mere building of an Orguerouette, we also take on their philosophical practices, working as artists and historians who see and interact with the world through the central Nomadic notion of superposition.
The members of the ISoRotNCaiP practice our own existence by the deep performance of ourselves as members of the ISoRotNCaiP, and the artifacts and articles that we produce as an organization has to do with the genuine occupation of a particular metaphysical mindset ontological (and perhaps tautological) to the society. This includes the expression of true parts of ourselves through the aforementioned heteronyms as equally true as our other selves, and the ordering and understanding of the world through these Nomadic notions, such as the aforementioned superpositions. This artist statement, then, is less a reflection of intentions of particular people creating this project, but of a genre of person and mode of in fact being a person, one who is a Nomadic Citizen, one who could be any one, one who produces the NC by participation therein.
